Q: Can You Relieve Pain From Migraines?
If you are suffering from frequent headaches or migraines, something is wrong. We offer treatment for TMJ-related issues that can help alleviate your pain and allow you to get back to your normal life. One specialized treatment option, called TruDenta®, eliminates debilitating headaches without any invasive procedures.
Q: Can You Remove Metal Fillings?
Yes! Dr. David Porter is certified by the International Academy of Oral Medicine and Toxicology (IAOMT) in its SMART protocol for safely removing metal fillings. If you want to remove your amalgam fillings because you’re concerned about their mercury content, or for any other reason, we can help. Dr. Porter is the only dentist in Wyoming with this certification.
Q: Do You Have Alternatives to Metal Dental Implants?
Yes! While most dental implants are made of titanium, we also offer ceramic implants for those who prefer to avoid metal tooth replacements.
Q: Do You Offer Alternatives to Metal Braces?
Yes! If you’d rather not have a mouthful of metal while straightening your teeth, you can choose plastic aligners. We offer two popular brands of aligners: Invisalign and ClearCorrect. In addition, we offer orthotropics, treatment with removable appliances that helps guide your child’s facial development to create plenty of room for the teeth and tongue. This can minimize the need for future orthodontic treatment – or even make it unnecessary.
Q: When Should I Bring My Child For Their First Dentist Visit?
We recommend bringing your child to see Dr. Porter for the first time as an infant. This allows him to check for any lip-tie or tongue-tie, which will affect facial and dental development down the road. Dr. Porter can painlessly treat a tongue-tie or lip-tie with a laser. We also recommend regular checkups throughout your child’s lifetime to help maintain great oral health.
